Echostar: Display & RS-232

Q: In dr.dish-tv erwähnten Sie eine angeblich lieferbare Schnittstelle mit
Software für den LT8700. Ist dazu mehr bekannt? Weiterhin habe ich ein
Problem mit der Bildschirmgrafik. Immer wenn ich in Video-Mode nach neuen
Sendern suche, rutscht bei nicht vorhandener Videoinformation das Display
nach oben. Woran liegt es? Mein Fachhändler meint das sei normal.

Q: You mentioned in your show the availability of a working RS-232 interface
and software for the LT8700. Do you have more information?
Furthermore I got a problem with the On-Screen-Graphics. Searching in video
mode -without a picture- , the display moves up on the screen. What could be
done?

Dr.Dish:
Your LT8700 produces a own sync. Your tv-set tries to do the same, but both
of them have different ideas. Result: your display moves up of about 1/3.
Just change with the direct access code 94 the background of the diplay and
yout LT8700 wins the race.
Since the information policy of some manufacturers is the weakest point in
the company, we learn sometimes about new products from a ad in the local
newspaper. All I got is that the belgian company Eclipse sells a interface
and software for the LT8700 and some smaller shops offering cheaper copies.

Ihr LT8700 produziert einen eigenen Sync. für das Display. Das FS-Gerät
probiert es ebenfalls und beide werden sich nicht einig. Resultat: das
Display rutscht um etwa 1/3 nach oben. Verändern Sie einfach mit dem
Direktkode 94 über die Fernbedienung den Display-Hintergrund und der Schaden
ist behoben.
Die Informationspolitik einiger Anbieter ist oft unzureichend und so
bekommen wir manche Neuheit erst durch eine kleine Anzeige eines Händlers in
der Lokalzeitung mit. Angeblich soll für den LT8700 ein Interface und
Software durch die belgische Firma Eclipse vertrieben werden. Kleinere
Händler bieten auch Kopien billiger an.
