Digital in Down Under




During the last months many questions from Australia and neighboring
countries reached us with always the same question: what receiver to buy to
get MCPC, SCPC, DVB and FTA PowerVu?
Our partner magazine SatFACTS from New Zealand did some research and here
are the results:

DMV 3000:
This receiver can cope with MCPC and partly with SCPC (no chinese channels).
PowerVu is not accepted.

GRUNDIG DTR 1100: No SCPC. Will accept only DVB-packages

KRISTAL K 100:SCPC, MCPC, DVB and PowerVU-FTA

NOKIA V 1.63:MCPC, SCPC, DVB and PowerVu FTA with some glitches

NOKIA 1.7X:the same as V 1.63

PACE DGT-400:only DVB packages

PACE DVR 500:only DVB packages

Pacific Satellite:MCPC, SCPC (3-45 Msym), DVB and PowerVu FTA

Panasat 520:only DVB-packages

Panasat 630:only DVB packages

PowerVu 9223:MCPC, SCPC, DVB and PowerVu FTA

Samsung VS2000:only MCPC, DVB and PowerVu (only in PAL)

SK 888:only DVB-packages

MASCOM 9200S: MCPC, SCPC, DVB, PowerVu FTA
