Re: 2 channels on one IRD?

watch one channel and record another channel/watch a different channel on
second TV in the house. At the moment one has to buy two IRD and pay for
two subscriptions. You can only decode one channel at a time - is there
something in the pipeline in the future?? In South Africa there are two
IRD's avail. i.e. PanaSat and Pace - both can only receive and decode one
satellite channel at a time.

Dr.Dish:
Not at this moment. But like the introducion of Free to Air receivers,it
took some time to convince the industry this will be a future market. This
people is often very slow and input has to come from the public. The next
receiver on the horizon is a FTA with MCPC, SCPC and working also on
analogue signals. Its coming in september. Then another company is preparing
the launch of FTA with MCPC and SCPC and On Screen Graphics with all known
parameters plus Disecq and PID codes. Is my information is correct it could
also have a polarizer-control.
If other companies do the same, and some kind of competion arises, then -
hopefully- someone will come with the twin-ird and/or a build positioner.
