Nokia/Bakker 9200/9500
OHNE ROTES MENUE / NO RED MENU ANYMORE
Wie versprochen allen Anfragern zum neuen Bakker-Receiver auf Basis des
Nokia 9500/9200 hier die ersten Testresultate:
Es gibt von Bakker BV zwei Receiver. Einer schaltet durch Schalter oder
Tastendruck zwischen den Software-Versionen 3.0 (als d-box) und 2..2 (fuer
den Rest der Welt). Ein manueller Eprom-Wechsel entfaellt. Insgesamt stehen
2000 Programmplaetze zu Verfuegung.
Getestet wurde die Software Version W.B. 4.0. Diese verfuegt ueber 1000
Programmplaetze und arbeitet in SCPC und MCPC. EIN OEFFNEN DES ROTEN MENUES
IST NICHT NOTWENDIG, da alle Pid-Codes automatisch dem Datenstrom entnommen
werden. Alle SCPC-Programme werden in der Kanalliste hintereinander abgelegt
Die einzelnen Programmplaetz werden nicht ueberschrieben und langes Suchen
nach dem richtigen Pid-Code entfaellt. Ist der Name des Programms oder Feeds
im Datastrom enthalten, wird er in die Programmliste eingetragen. Fehlt der
Name steht dort dann P1.
Kritische SCPC-Signale wurden schnell eingelesen. Sollte die exacte
Data-Rate nicht bekannt sein, wird sie ermittelt. Das dauert dann etwas
laenger. Stimmen nun ga keine Daten, haengt sich das Geraet nicht auf,
sondern schaltete vorher ab und kommt dann wieder um noetige Korrekturen
vorzunehmen.
C- und Ku-Band Signale koennen gemischt abgelegt werden. So wurde erst
Canal+ auf 1 Grad West programmiert, dann folgte Reuters im C-Band, wieder
ein Ku-Band Paket und schliesslich im C-Band DW-TV und die aegyptischen
Programme..
Es stehen drei verschiedene Satellitentypen zur Verfuegung. Bei Autoinstall
beginnt der Receiver im C-Band, da er wohl urspruenglich fuer den ASIA-SAT
vorgesehen war. Bakker koennte jedoch auch eine typische Suchroutine fuer
das C-Band programmieren. In diesem Fall ist es dann moeglich in ca. 8
MHz-Schritten den Satelliten automatisch abzusuchen. Dank der weiten AFC
wuerdebn vorhandene MPEG-Signale schnell erkannt werden

As promised, here are the first test results of the new Bakker/Nokia
receiver based on the 9200/9500/d-box.
Bakker offers two models. The first is switchable between sw 3.0 and (for
Germany) and 2.2 (for the rest of the world). NO MANUAL CHANGE OF THE EPROM!
2000 channels can be stored.
The next type and tested offers 1000 channels and works in c- and ku band.
But more important is the ability to store all SCPC-signals without
overwriting and works WITHOUT THE USE OF THE RED MENUE. Also the PID-codes
are not nedded, since the receiver searched for them in the data-stream. If
the data-stream contains the name of the channel, it will be stored in the
channel list. Otherwise the service will be listed as P1. Even is the
correct data-rate not known, the receiver will search for the rate.
c- and ku band cam be stored mixed. We stored on Intelsat at 1 degree west
first the Canal* chnnels in ku-band and then Reuters in c-band, again some
ku-band channels and then DW-TV and the egyt-package in c-band. No problem.
The receiver knows 3 different types of statellits. Under AUTOMATC SEARCH he
starts in the c-band and looks for ASIA-SAT channels. Bakkers could change
this to the INTELSAT C-band channel layout and in steps of about 8 MHz. The
rest could be done by the wide AFC of this receiver.
