SAT-HUNGARY 11-07-97

NO MORE CNN, NO MORE TNT/CARTOON
From Monday 14th July two more channels will leave the AM-mikro
system in Budapest. Turner Ltd. decided not to continue with the
agreement between them and Antenna Hungaria, therefore CNN and
TNT/Cartoon Network will be removed from the local MMDS (microwave)
distribution system.
With this, no English language channels will remain on that system.
The present selection includes:
Sat.1, RTL, Pro7, ORF1 - German language,
TV5 - French language,
TV1, TV2, Duna Tv, TV3, MSat, ATV, Sziv TV, BP Tv - Hungarian language
channels.
As you may know, NBC Super was the first channel to leave, followed
by Eurosport later the year. It is also rumoured that some of the
Hungarian channels (like MSat and TV3) will leave beacuse they are
distributed on satellite as well and that gives a better quality,
nation-wide access. This however is still a rumour.

NINCS TOBBE CNN, NINCS TOBBE TNT/CARTOON
Julius 14-tol ket ujabb csatorna hagyja el a budapesti AM-mikro
rendszeret. A Turner Ltd. ugy hatarozott, hogy nem hosszabbitja meg a
kozte es az Antenna Hungaria kozott fennallo szerzodest es ezert a CNN es
a TNT/Cartoon Network adasat eltavolitjak a helyi mikrohullamu
elosztorendszerbol.
Ennek kovetkezteben egyetlen angol nyelvu csatorna sem marad ezen a
rendszeren. A jelenlegi valasztek az alabbi:
Sat.1, RTL, Pro7, ORF1 - nemet nyelvu,
TV5 - francia nyelvu,
TV1, TV2, Duna Tv, TV3, MSat, ATV, Sziv TV, BP Tv - magyar nyelvu
csatornak.
Amint bizonyosan tudjak, az NBC Super tavozott eloszor es kesobb az
Eurosport is kovette. Egyes hiresztelesek szerint nehany magyar csatorna
is elhagyja az AM-mikrot (mint pl. az MSat es a TV3), mert azok mar
muholdon is sugarozna, amely jobb minoseget es nagyobb lefedettseget
biztosit. Ez azonban egyelore csak szobeszed.
