On transponder 17, 4.125 GHz, Rc, is presently a black & white test card
visible. An empty sound carrier is available at 7.50 MHz.
The reception of TV6 on transponder 14, 3.875 GHz, Rc, has improved.

Channel 11 of the 1stNet DStv Network "MCM Euromusique" is from today
scrambled and now only receivable with an additional subscription fee.

On all 1stNet DStv channels, exluding M-Net, as well as on the ART, ESC,
LBC and Future International transponder on Arabsat 2A and the ESC
transponder on Eutelsat II-F3,  a live discussion, with live connections
between all transmitting stations, was shown. Featured were viewer
call-ins and programm previews for the upcoming Holy Month of Ramadan.
Also presented was a preview on the up-coming new channel "Future Gold"
from Future Television Lebanon.
Some new channels will be added to the 1stNet broadcasting from the ART
transponder on Arabsat 2A only. In the near future the Arabsat 1stNet
channels will be de-coupled from the Panamsat 4 DStv transmissions,
which includes the Showtime Network bouquet.

Furtheron announced that the subscription of each individual channel of
the 1stNet Network will be possible. A special attraction: who pays the
full subscribtion fee for the bouquet in advance for the coming 5 years,
gets a free IRD ! Think about it !

On transponder 10, 3.875 GHz, Rc, the "Rendez Vous" transponder, was in
the afternoon already a black and white tescard available, however with
a minimal signal level.

Txpr 1L, 10.968 GHz, V, (previous Israel 1) shows a color bar test card
"RR Communications"-"Test Channel 1" with test tone on 6.60 and 7.20
MHz.
Txpr 1U, with the slight changed frequency of 11.015 GHz, V, (previous
Israel 2) shows a color bar test card "RR Communications"-"Test Channel
33" with a test tone on 6.60 MHz.

Transponder 6U on 11.699 GHz, V, has been switched on shortly and tested
again with an empty carrier on the Israel Beam. There was no sound
carrier available.

On transponder 101L 3.749 Ghz, Lc, has the color bar testcard returned,
after been removed for a couple of weeks. A sound carrier is additional
featured at 6.60 MHz, beside the previous available radio transmissions
from South Africa on 7.02 MHz.
