THE HEADLINES IN THIS REPORT:
- ARABSAT 2A & 2B
- ARABSAT Txpr Plan
- TURKSAT 1B
- Bits & Pieces
TURKSAT 1B, 31 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/t1b.html
----------
As in SAT-MidEast reported (97.01.24) The Turksat 1B came back to live.
SATCO-DX confirms a digital carrier on transponder 12, 10.961 GHz, H,
with programming of Kent TV, SR 4800, FEC 5/6.
Personnally I measure this frequency on 10.963 GHz, H, at his top, but
that doesn't mean anything, it is relative to the receiving system.
More MPEG 2 channels could be expected, in the near future, from this
position.
ARABSAT 2B, 30.5 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/a2b.html
----------
After the latest appearance of this satellite unfortunately only a few
decent pictures could be observed, and a lot of poor quality
transmissions.
The main frequencies in use are:
transponder 07 3.845 GHz, Rc, ART/Jordan/Saudia feeds
transponder 11 3.918 GHz, Rc, RTM 1, Marocco, Prg
transponder 13 3.980 GHz, Rc, ASBU feeds
On following frequencies various kinds of signals can be received: tp 3:
3.761 R, tp 5: 3.805 R, tp 9: 3.872 R, tp 2: 3.741 L, tp 4: 3.782 L, tp
6: 3.823 L, tp 8: 3.864 L, tp 10: 3.905 L.
Some of these signals have a quite high level, comparable with normal
PAL transmissions, but produce interference patterns, in differrent
shapes and regularity on the screen.
All high power C-Band transponder and the Ku-Band transponder have not
been powered up yet.
ARABSAT 2A, 26 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/a2a.html
----------
Txpr 7, 12.646 GHz, H, unveiled it's secrets tonight: the plain old
Kuwait TV returned on this transponder, :-(( in the same version as on
the C-Band transponder 21, 4.167 GHz, Rc.
Sound carriers strangely switched off on 6.60 and 7.02 MHz, therefore
twice in mono on 7.38 and 7.74 MHz, however in a wider bandwidth as
usual on these frequencies.
EUTELSAT II-f3, 16 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/e2f3.html
--------------
Alegerian TV on transponder 26B, 11.095 GHz, V, an interuption in
transmission. The C-Band transmissions on Intelsat 601, 4.003 GHz, Lc,
have not been influenced.
HOT BIRD 2, 13 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/hb2.html
----------
As reported in SAT-Digital News from Mike Bauerfeind, will Filmnet
Hellas be available on transponder 55, 11.823 GHz, H, on the widebeam,
with a digital package. This Nethold package has been tested on Eutelsat
I-f4 on 25.5 East and will be available from Monday 27 January,
free-to-air for at least a month.
