And now the news:
---------- Canal 24 Horas to move home
(source: Sat-UK Subscriber)
Canal 24 Horas will, on December 1st, move from Eutelsat II-F1 to
HotBird 2. It will use the almost empty transponder of 11,785 H. This
frequency is currently only used by RDV/Eurotica from midnight to four,
which will be forced to move to another spot - Canal 24 Horas is a
24-hour channel. Alongside Canal 24 Horas, four of RNE's radio channels
will also be starting here - Radio 1, Radio 3, Radio 5 TodoNoticias and
Radio Clasica. All channels will be unencrypted on 11,785 H. And while
we're talking Spanish, Hispasat 1C, the latest satellite to be placed at
30 degrees west, will be launch at the end of 1999 - it will provide 24
transponders for digital television to the Americas and Europe.
