And now the news:

---------- Kanal 5 goes overboard on simulcast

Kanal 5, which recently moved from 12,476 L on Tele-X to 12,207 L on the
same satellite, has reappeared on 12,476 L. So it is now simulcasting on
two frequencies on Tele-X. In addition, it has also appeared on the new
satellite, Sirius 2, on 12,207 V. That puts Kanal 5 on the Nordic beam,
and it is receivable with a 90cm dish more or less. So, taking into
account that Kanal 5 is also broadcasting on Thor 2, it is now the case
that Kanal 5 is broadcasing the same channel on four different
frequencies - Phew! Kanal 5 is scheduled to leave Thor 2 and Tele-X
soon, and should only be available on Sirius 2.
Sirius 2 has already started testing at 5,2° east, just eight days after
being launched. Test carriers can be seen at the moment on the Nordic
beam - the other beams have not yet been tested.
