--- EUROPE:
TV 1000 left Astra 1A: 11,303 H (tp 7) on 15 Aug.
Sky Two trailer started on Astra 1A: 11,303 H (tp 7) on 16 Aug.
Sky Sports 3 started on Astra 1B: 11,671 H (tp 31) on 16 Aug.

A new MPEG-2 package has started on Astra 1F: 12,168 V
DF 1 has a home page at http://www.df1.de/

BBC Prime has recently started on Eutelsat II f1: 11,602 V, MPEG-2
Viva Zwei on Eutelsat II f1 has started with teletext service
Canal + Espana has left Hispasat 1A/1B: 12,631 H
Med TV is back, now on Intelsat 705: 11,075 V
Reteotto has a home page at http://www.rgn.it/~RETE8/home.html


--- MIDDLE EAST:
Test card on Arabsat 2A: 12,661 V, PAL (seen so far north as Norway!)
Showtime Network digital package on PAS 4: 11,585 H, MPEG-2
Wainach TV on Ekpress 2: 3,975 R seems to have ceased


--- ASIA:
Several new TV channels on Apstar 1A:
4,020 V: ZTV - Zhejiang TV, started on 13 Aug.
3,860 V: CCTV 1, started on 15 Aug.
4,180 V: CCTV 2, started on 16 Aug.
4,080 H: SCTV - Sicuang TV
4,040 H: XZTV - Xizang TV

CCTV 3 and CCTV 4 on PAS 2: 3,716 V and PAS 4: 3,977 V, MPEG-2
Sky Channel (Australia) on Asiasat 2: 4,020 V, B-MAC

MPEG-2 channels on Asiasat 2:
3,790 H: WTN 
4,000 H: MCM 


--- NORTH AMERICA:
XXXplore, XXXpose and their promo channel have ceased on Telstar 303
WQCD-FM has left Satcom C4: 3,820 H (C4-06)
Several updates on Telstar 401's C band

--- Launch updates:
Palapa B2P has been renamed to Mabuhay and moved to 144E,
will enter service in August.

The footprints and frequency bands for Sirius 2 (to be launched next
year) are already available on the Launches page.

Chinasat 7 was supposed to be launched on 18 August, but there are not
yet any reports whether it was successful. Please check the Launches
page the next few days for more news about this satellite launch.

GE 1 (to be launched on 30 Aug.) will replace G-Star 1 at 103W.

Arabsat 2B and Measat 2 will launch with Ariane V92 late in October.


--- Footprints:
Footprints are now also available for these satellites:
Apstar 1, Chinasat 5, Arabsat 1C, Arabsat 1DR, Kopernikus 3,
Astra 1A, Hispasat 1A/1B and G-Star 1.
More will follow as they are available on the web...


--- Digital Layout change:
The biggest digital packages are currently moving to separate
pages at SATCO DX. The first out is DF 1 on Astra. Please press
"DF 1 chart" on the Astra chart to get more details for DF 1
in a nicer way.
