SATCO DX - Updates 8-21 September

This is a summary of the updates at SATCO DX the last two weeks.

--- TDF 2:  http://www.satcodx.com/tdf2.html
The footprint map for TDF 2 when it will be located at 36 East
is already added to the TDF 2 chart, even if the satellite still
is moving towards 36 East, currently located at 18 East.


--- Hot Bird 3:  http://www.satcodx.com/hb3.html
Hot Bird 3 was tested extensively at 29 East on 14-15 September,
and is now moving towards 13 East.


--- Astra 1C:  http://www.satcodx.com/astra1c.html
Since 15 Sep., QVC UK on 11,038 V is in PAL/clear, and will
obviously stay in clear.

Sky Box Office 1 has replaced Sky Movies Gold on 10,877 V,
PAL/Videocrypt.

Knowledge TV has started on 12,382 H, MPEG-2/clear.
AB Sat has started on 12,266 H with exactly the same channels
as on Eutelsat II f1: 11,678 H, MPEG-2/Viaccess&Mediaguard.

Fashion TV has started on 11,881 V, PAL/clear, super beam.

On 15/16 Sep., three channels started on 11,667 V, D2-MAC/Eurocrypt:
Granada Men & Motors, 01-02 CET
CMT Europe, 02-10 CET
Granada Good Life, 10-18 CET

On 15 Sep., three channels started on 11,773 R, D2-MAC/clear:
Sky News, 02-18 CET.
Computer Channel, 18-20 CET.
National Geographic Channel, 20-02 CET

Changes on 15 Sep.:
EBN replaced Nova Shop on 11,912 L, D2-MAC/Eurocrypt.
The History Channel started on 11,888 L, D2-MAC/Eurocrypt, 18-21 CET.

Sziv TV has started on 11,308 H, MPEG-2/clear.


--- Intelsat 605 at 24.5W:  http://www.satcodx.com/i605.html
Intelsat 605 has got telemetry problems and will be replaced by
another Intelsat satellite. This will result in some other changes:
  An unknown Intelsat 8 will replace Intelsat 601 at 27.5 West
  Intelsat 601 at 27.5 West will replace Intelsat 603 at 34.5 West
  Intelsat 603 at 34.5 West will replace Intelsat 605 at 24.5 West
  Intelsat 605 at 24.5 West will be moved away, destiny unknown.

Tele Deporte has ceased in analog on 12,149 L.
Canal Clasico has ceased in analog on 12,226 L.

Via Digital package with 65 TV channels started on 14 September.
Almost all channels are in clear for now, but are expected to be
encrypted in the future... A special digital package chart with

--- PAS 3R:  http://www.satcodx.com/pas3r.html
Via Digital has started a digital package on 12,651 V, MPEG-2/clear,
European beam. Line-up: Eco, Ritmoson, Telehit, Conexion Financiera,
Galavision and Telenovela. This tp is probably used to feed these
channels from South American to Spain for Via Digital.

CCTV 3, CCTV 4, CCTV 5 and CCTV 9 have started on 3,716 H,
MPEG-2/PowerVu.
Baztab has ceased on 4,035 H.

Az TV 1 (Azerbaijan) has started on 11,607 H, MPEG-2/clear.

Spacenet 2 seems to have completed its move from 69 West to
115.5 East.

STS (CTC) has started on 11,525 R, SECAM.

--- GE 3:  http://www.satcodx.com/ge3.html
GE 3 is located at 82-83 West, currently testing on C band.
It will be moved to 87 West soon. All channels on Spacenet 3R
are expected to move to GE 3 after GE 3's relocation to 87 West.

The new satellite PAS 5 is now located at 58 West and digital
tests are reported.
