SATCO DX - Updates 980511-980524

This is a summary of the updates at SATCO DX Satellite Chart the
last two weeks. More info and daily updated satellite charts are

Due to the recent Cable & Satellite show in London, this mail
is covering two weeks instead of the usual one week.


--- Optus B3 at 156E:  http://www.satcodx.com/optusb3.shtml
New line-ups on 12,407 V, 12,564 H, 12,626 and 12,689 H.
See the chart for more details.

The Galaxy package on 12,376 H and 12,438 H has ceased due to
liquidation of Galaxy. Most of the channels have been integrated
in the Optus Vision and Austar packages.

ITV (Thailand) has started on 3,946 V, MPEG-2/clear,
SR 6000, FEC 3/4.

Thai TV 5 Global Network has started on 3,760 V, MPEG-2/clear,
SR 26666, FEC 3/4.

On 15 May, a new STAR TV package started on 3,880 H, MPEG-2/NDS,
SR 26850, FEC 7/8, North beam, line-up:
Star Movies Chinese, Star World, Channel V Int., Star Movies
South East Asia, Fox News Channel, Sky News and Star News.

ATC - Argentina Televisora Color has started on 4,170 L, PAL-N.

A new package has started on 3,804 R, MPEG-2/clear, SR 27500,
FEC 3/4, line-up:
CFI Amerique Pro (enc.), RFO 1, RFO 2 and MTA International.

A new Brazilian package has started on 3,803 R, MPEG-2/enc.,
SR 25357, FEC 3/4, line-up:
HTV, Casa Club, The Family Channel, The Adult Channel Brazil
and Hallmark Brazil.
This package is identical to Intelsat 605: 3,924 R.

Inravision (Colombia) has started on 4,010 R, Digicipher 2,
SR 19500, FEC 3/4, line-up:
Cadena Uno, Cadena A, Senal Colombia, Tele Antioquia, Tele Caribe
and Tele Pacifico.
This package is identical to Intelsat 709: 3,840 L.

SerSat (Argentina) has started on 3,973 L, MPEG-2/clear,
SR 6519, FEC 7/8, line-up:
Argentinisima Satelital and TVI Satelital
The line-up is identical to Intelsat 605: 3,856 L.

New Brazilian package on 3,923 L, MPEG-2/enc., SR 27500, FEC 5/6,
line-up: GNT, Canal Brazil, Telecine 1, Telecine 2, TV Globo and
SporTV.

America 2 (Argentina) has started on 3,747 R, MPEG-2/clear,
SR 8515, FEC 3/4.

A new Argentinian package has started on 3,640 R, MPEG-2/clear,
SR 19650, FEC 2/3, line-up:
Infinito, RAI International and Solo Tango.

Please note that the footprint of Intelsat 806 is covering all
of North & South America, plus major parts of Europe!

(temporary) on other satellites.

Gospel Music Network has started on 4,080 H (S3-19), NTSC.

The ABS-CBN International package has started on 12,090 H,
MPEG-2/TV-COM, line-up:
TFC, SNN, Sky Cable, CTN Zhong Tian and CTN Dadi.

At 18:15 EDT on 19 May, Galaxy 4 started to spin and got lost.
Most of the services are now (temporary) on other satellites.
