Dish Network Passes 100,000 Subscribers
  ENGLEWOOD, Colorado, USA, 96/07/26 (TS) -- EchoStar announced on Wednesday
that its Dish network has passed the 100,000 subscriber mark. The company
said it was the fastest growth of any of the digital multichannel packets,
counting from satellite launch time rather than service launch.

  "EchoStar is growing fast, and we look forward to an escalating growth
curve with the launch of EchoStar II on Sept. 10, 1996," said Charlie Ergen,
chairman and chief executive officer, EchoStar Communications.
