Fininvest Shares Down In Mediaset
  ROME, Italy, 96/09/02 (TS) -- After the public offer of shares in TV
holding company Mediaset which ended August 15, Silvio Berlusconi's company
Fininvest stake in Mediaset has fallen from 52.22% to slightly more than 50%.

  Around 35 million shares were offered to the public as well as Italian and
foreign private investors. It is expected that soon that the Fininvest stake
will fall to 47.9%, but Silvio Berlusconi will still be in charge because in
order to control the company, a little less than 48% is more than enough.
