Primestar Steps Up Sales Offensive
NEW YORK, New York, USA, 96/11/16 (TS) -- Primestar is stepping up its
sales offensive in advance of the approaching Christmas season. The company
is offering a month of free access to one or more premium movie channels in
return for signing up to one or more premium movie channels before the end
of the year.
Primestar, which leases equipment as part of the monthly subscription
fee, is also planning to add around 50 extra channels next year when the
GE-2 satellite is launched. The company has already announced new channels
will include The History Channel, Comedy Central, Nick at Nite's TV Land,
BET, The TV Food Network and Court TV. It will also increase the Digital
Music Express (DMX) channels on offer from 14 to 30.
