PAS-6 Launch Delayed
GREENWICH, Connecticut, USA, 96/11/17 (TS) -- PanAmSat said Friday that
it was delaying the launch of PAS-6, its new Atlantic Ocean Region
satellite. The delay is due to problems that makers Space Systems/Loral are
having with the power control units.
The satellite maker is replacing the units and this will delay launch
until March or April 1997 from its originally scheduled launch in December
this year. The satellite will be used for launching a new direct-to-home
satellite service for Latin America.
