Primestar Adds More Channels
NEW YORK, New York, USA, 96/11/26 (TS) -- Digital multichannel TV package
Primestar has announced it will shortly add two new channels to its
line-up. Outdoor Life and Speedvision will be added to the list of over 50
channels available as part of the system. The switch to the new GE-2
satellite is allowing the service more space and the possibility to expand
its output to better compete with companies offering over 100 channels.
In recent weeks, Primestar announced it will also add VH1, The History
Channel, BET, The TV Food Network, CNN/SI, Court TV as well as expand its
selection of Digital Music Express audio channels.
Outdoor Life Network is a 24-hour-a-day guide to outdoor adventure with
programs grouped thematically into six categories: Field Sports, Ocean and
Water Sports, Nature and Conservation, Outdoor Touring and Travel, Alpine
mid Winter Sports, and Adventure and Exploration. The Speedvision Network
is a 24-hour network dedicated to automotive, aviation and marine
information and entertainment.
