Turner Moves To Satellite In Hungary
BUDAPEST, Hungary, 97/07/14 (TS) -- From Monday 14th July two more
channels will leave the AM-mikro system in Budapest. Turner Ltd. decided
not to continue with the agreement between them and Antenna Hungaria,
therefore CNN and TNT/Cartoon Network will be removed from the local MMDS
(microwave) distribution system.

With this, no English language channels will remain on that system. The
present selection includes: Sat.1, RTL, Pro7, ORF1 - German language, TV5 -
French language,
TV1, TV2, Duna Tv, TV3, MSat, ATV, Sziv TV, BP Tv - Hungarian language
channels.

NBC Super was the first channel to leave, followed by Eurosport later the
year. It is also rumoured that some of the Hungarian channels (like MSat
and TV3) will leave beacuse they are distributed on satellite as well and
that gives a better quality, nation-wide access. This however is still a
rumour.
