V-SAT in Egypt
Q:
Our client - a international rent-a-car -company - would like to install
V-Sat terminals on premises in Egypt. Which terminal would be accepted
by the Egyptian telcom-law?
Radiated power for a 256 k output will be 28 dbW (0.6 W) and
transmission modes are: TDMA (BPSK, FECcoding).
Who do we have to contact in Egypt?
N.N. (Switzerland)

Dr.Dish:
First of all, you have to contact the Egyptian Radio and TV-Union,
P.O.Box 1186, Cairo, Egypt.
A suitable Terminal comes from AT&T: the Clearlink-System 200/400
Network together with the Prodelin dish 1134 (120cm). This unit got the
approval of most African- and Middle East countries. Since the output is
below 1W, no special permitts regarding the emission is required.
(Test-Certificate of the IEC is supplied).
Contact: AT&T Tridom, 840 Franklin Street, Marietta CA 30067, USA.
