C-SPAN EXTRA LAUNCHES SEPTEMBER 15
USING A "$200.00" DECODER ???

C-Span is planning a September 15 launch for its new CPAN Extra sevrice
that it will offer free to affilates if they carry already C-SPAN and
C-SPAN1.
The digital service ( all others are analog) intended to handle
spillover events that can't be carried on its parent services, will be
offered to digital tiers and other open government access or local
origination channels.

The interesting point is this one: C-SPAN said it'll pay for the $200.00
decoder needed to convert the digital signal at the headend.

The $64,000.00 question is...? Where in the world is a decoder for
$200.00? Where is C-SPAN able to get this deal ?
