COLOMBIAN NETWORKS WITH TECHNICAL PROBLEMS.
PROBLEMAS TECNICOS EN INRAVISION

The colombian services in Intelsat 709 switched the past day September
1st from Digicipher 1 to the new Digicipher 2 system using DSR-4200
receiver for downlinking services nationwide. The purpose of the
colombian networks is to reach all the country and every community
unable to get off the air signals by satellite.
Channels in service already are Cadena A, Cadena Uno, Senal de Colombia
and according to Adolfo Diaz Perdomo,  operations technical subdirector,
they have some technical problems uplinking the regional networks
TeleCaribe and TelePacifico. Some people are making comments that the
last two networks are unavailable because they don't wanted to switch to
the new Digicipher 2 technology but this is not true because the first
day after the change to the new system we personally saw all the
networks in the clear and noted video artifacts and some freezing
effects for the regional networks. This confirm that the press release
sent by Mr. Diaz Perdomo is true and both regional channels must be
available soon and may be before the end of September.

CANALES REGIONALES TELECARIBE Y TELEPACIFICO DE INRAVISION CONFRONTAN
PROBLEMAS TECNICOS Y ESTAN FUIERA DEL AIRE.

Segun un parte de prensa del Sr. Adolfo Diaz Perdomo, subdirector
tecnico de operaciones de Inravision, las cadenas regionales  Tele
Caribe y Tele Pacifico estan fuera del aire por problemas tecnicos y
poeden estar disponibles muy pronto, quiza antes de que termine
Setiembre. Se ha comentado que ambas cadenas regionales estan fuera del
aire porque se resistieron a cambiar de Digicipher 1 al nuevo sistema
Digicipher 2, pero no es cierto. El dia despues del cambio, nosotros
personalmente vimos TODOS los servicios en el aire, pero Tele Caribe y
Tele Pacifico tenian muy mala calidad de video y audio y el video se
congelaba de cuando en cuando, por lo que estimamos que el parte de
prensa del Sr. Diaz Perdomo es verdad en su totalidad.

Las cadenas colombianas de Inravision consisten de Cadena Uno, Canal A,
Senal de Colombia, Tele Caribe y Telepacifico y se pueden ver en el
