THE HEADLINES IN THIS REPORT:

- TRT Int will cease
- Star Prime Sports ceased
- Abu Dhabi moves

A short report today, while busy working on the future of SAT-MidEast...

TURKSAT 1C, 42 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/t1c.html
----------
The txms of TRT Int on txpr 12, 10.975 GHz, H, are just test txm and
will cease in short term.

ARABSAT 1C, 30.5 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/a1c.html
----------
The txm on txpr 15, 3.979 GHz, Rc, have ceased
STAR TV's Prime Sports txm on txpr 6, 3.810 GHz, Lc, have ceased (at
least analog). Most probably the up-link is now directly to the Intelsat
703 on 57 East in MPEG.

ARABSAT 2A, 26 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/a2a.html
----------
The yesterday announced new txm of Abu Dhabi TV have changed frequency
from 4.085 Ghz, Rc to 4.072 GHz, Rc. The reason for this relative sharp
lowering is a new color bar test card which appeared on 4.094 GHz, Rc,
using a very narrow bandwidth. Interference is visible all over the test
card. No sound carrier is yet available.
This could be the equivalent of the UAE feed txpr on the Arabsat 1 (txpr
18, 4.033 GHz, Lc). The quality of the Abu Dhabi txm seems to have
weakened little.

While txpr 17 is a high power C-Band txpr with a bandwidth of only 36
MHz, it still seems to me that both txm are coming from this txpr.
(There are two 54 MHz txpr on the Arabsat 2A, but these are medium power
txpr, below 4.000 GHz).
Txpr 19 (4.126 GHz, Rc) is still occupied with data txms and uses the
full bandwidth of 36 MHz.

Best regards, and look for Arabsat 2B !
