- A quite short report today:
Egypt is hosts the political conference of the Arab States Broadcaster
Union (ASBU) in Cairo on the 17th and 18th of December.

Txm of RTR were interupted this afternoon on txpr 6, 3.675 GHz, Rc, for
extensive txpr testing. At times a black and white test card was shown.
ARABSAT 2A, 26 East, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/a2a.html
KSC Kuwait TV in the Ku-Band on txpr 7, 12.646 GHz, H, has still to
solve some up-link problems. Picture and sound have been of poor quality
during the evening. C-Band txm were not disturbed.

During the morning hours txpr 20, 4.140 Ghz, Lc, was tested. Later the
txpr was switched off and no further carriers could be seen. Undefined
signal couls be received from txpr 9, 3.884 GHz, Rc and txpr 19, 4.126
GHz, Rc. It could be digital signals, no "locking-in" was achieved

Various txpr have been showing signals, however all off them have been
seen in days before. Strong widebeam carriers on txpr 66, 12.034 GHz, V
and txpr 69, 12.092 GHz, H. Subtle signals were received from txpr 50,
11.727 GHz, V and txpr 51, 11.747 GHz, H, both most probably using
The received signal level of the French TPS txpr 61, 11.938 GHz, H, on
the superbeam has fallen bu 25% against yesterdays level.
No new channels, especially the expected analogue ones on the widebeam,
AMOS 1, 4 West, SATCO-DX: http://www.satcodx.com/amos1.html
Txpr 4U, 11.510 GHz, V, was activated for a while after a long period of
rest. No txm however took place.
Txpr 4L, the IBA feed txpr on 11.468 GHz, V, which was switched off
yesterday, did not re-appear.
