----------
A knowledgable french Angel brought me a merry message: MCM will stay
most probably in the clear until the end of this month on transponder 5,
11.307 GHz, H. It's a heaven's gift to the world, especially the Russian
and Middle Eastern part. Merci beaucoup...
INTELSAT 707, 1 West, http://www.satcodx.com/1707.html
------------
Most of today actions took place on this satellite. It was exiting too.
At midday on transponder 73A and 111X-B new IBA colorbar PAL test cards
appeared, both with the text: "EMEQ - HAELA".
On transponder 73A, 11.136 GHz, V, were subcarriers on 6.60 and 7.02
available, both with a sinus wave. On transponder 111X-B, 11.015 GHz, V,
were five subcarriers available, 6.60 and 7.02 MHz with a sinus wave;
7.20 MHz with a radio transmission in short-wave quality; 7.36 and 7.54
MHz with two different, high quality, mono radio transmissions.
At the same time the testcard on IBA-4 feed transponder 111X-A, 10.968
GHz, V, was steady available with the usual radio station, between
feeds, on subcarrier 6.60 MHz.
SME: On transponder 111X-B have never so many subcarriers been observed.
Later in the day the test cards dissappeared on transponder 111X-A,
10.968 GHz, V, and 111X-B, 11.015 GHz, V, and MPEG-2 signals around
frequency 10.990 GHz, V, appeared. The signals are since then available,
very strong, but not resolvable by my PANASAT equipment. (SME: that does
not mean too much, however)
Transponder 73A, 11.136 GHZ, V, has now transformed as the feed
transponder "IBA-4" with this evening sport transmissions for IBA's
sport channel five. Transponder 73B, 11.174 GHz, V, is still in use for
the Commercial Channel 2.

The updates every fortnight have been performed today, all news has been
updated, including February 28. Changes have been made to the satellite
lists after the succesfull launch of Intelsat 801. The news update page
has been modified and a hole new menu item has been implemented after a
number of requests.
The new menu item is called "Tips" and includes exactly this and
information for "NEWBIES" on the satellite scene. The SAT-NET.COM pages
were never ment to be for profs and DX'r, they are more intended to
broaden the base of satellite enthousiasts, especially in the Middle
East. One sub-menu item explains the basic of satellite reception,
another will explain the used terminology, a third will give some tips
and tricks for satellite beginners.
Be aware that not everything is ready and included yet:
UNDER CONSTRUCTION !
Best regards,
Henk C. Room / Sat-MidEast / Cairo - Egypt
