Beside the normal transmissions of Mauretania TV and RTM 1, Marocco, a
lot of soccer feeds in the late afternoon/early evening. Following
transponder were active: 9, 11, 13A, 13B, 15, 17, 19 (3.880 - 4.130GHz
Rc) and 16, 4.064, Lc, in excellent quality.

ITV is presenting here an English spoken transmission of the Formula 1
races from the InterLagos racetrack in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Take a look on 4.166 GHz, Rc, for feeds with a subcarrier on 6.60 MHz.
The quality is not perfect, but it's better then the SiS transmissions
(without decoder) on Eutelsat II-f4-M, 7 East, transponder 20B, 11.006
GHz, V.

MCM Africa on 3.650 GHz, Rc, are also announcing there encryption from 1
April. (JW, via SATCO-DX)

Dr.Dish Digital Tips

A major question for everyone: What receiver to buy in order to get
MCPC, SCPC, DVB and FTA PowerVu? Tele-Satellit Internationals partner
magazine SatFACTS from New Zealand did some research and here are the
results:

DMV 3000: This receiver can cope with MCPC and partly with SCPC (no
chinese	channels). PowerVu is not accepted.

GRUNDIG DTR 1100: No SCPC. Will accept only DVB packages

KRISTAL K 100: SCPC, MCPC, DVB and PowerVu FTA

NOKIA V 1.63: MCPC, SCPC, DVB and PowerVu FTA with some glitches

NOKIA V 1.7X: MCPC, SCPC, DVB and PowerVu FTA with some glitches

NOKIA 9200 S FTA: MCPC, SCPC, DVB and PowerVu FTA, proprietary NOKIA
software

PACE DGT-400: only DVB packages

PACE DVR 500: only DVB packages

PACIFIC SATELLITE: MCPC, SCPC (3-45 Msym), DVB and PowerVu FTA

PANASAT 520: only DVB packages

PANASAT 630: only DVB packages

POWERVU 9223: MCPC, SCPC, DVB and PowerVu FTA

SAMSUNG VS2000: only MCPC, DVB and PowerVu (only in PAL)

SK 888: only DVB-packages

MASCOM 9200S: MCPC, SCPC, DVB, PowerVu FTA, proprietary MASCOM software
