And now the news:
---------- DMX - WHAT'S GOING ON?
(sources: DMX, SATCO DX, TELE-Satellite News)
DMX has now been completely absorbed into the large US company TCI music
is a so-called "merger". The move actually makes DMX a subsidiary of
TCI. So DMX's financial problems are relieved. The European market is
not so lucky however: DMX exits Europe and looks to be replaced by MCE -
Music Choice Europe. Already MCE has started digitally in Leo Kirch's
DF1 package - rumours indicate that it will take over the remaining
transponders on Astra 1A-1D and the HotBirds.
---------- RDV/EUROTICA
Just to clarify the RDV/Eurotica situation.
Two days ago, RDV and Eurotica broadcast in a joint venture on RDV's
transponders at 16 and 13 degrees east. Broadcast were RDV promos and
Eurotica's subs info and programmes. The transmission was in PAL and
encrypted in videocrypt 1/2. RDV hopes to be broadcasting in
D2MAC/eurocrypt again soon.
