---------- RTL-TVi gone from Telecom

RTL-TVi, the french interactive channel, has left Telecom 2B. The
channel had been scheduled to disappear for a while now, and will from
now on only be available in the TPS package on Eutelsat II-F1.
Transponder R9, where RTL-TVi used to be, is now displaying the familiar
France Telecom test card.


---------- TV Norge to leave Intelsat 707

TV Norge will leave Intelsat 707 on October 15th, according to on-screen
messages. The channel will from that time only transmit on its frequency
on Thor II. It is not yet known what channel, if any, will continue on
TV Norge's current frequency.


---------- ERT to begin soon on HotBird 3

ERT, the Greek entertainment channel which is currently transmitting on
Eutelsat II-F2, will begin transmissions via HotBird 3 on October 24th,
in PAL/clear. It will transmit from 12,284 H, and will consequently
leave Eutelsat II-F2.


---------- TPS moves to HotBird 3/TVE now on Eutelsat II-F1

TPS - Television par Satellite, the French digital satellite
broadcaster, is beginning to move its digital package over to Eutelsat
HotBird 3 for stronger coverage. It currently broadcasts from Eutelsat
II-F1, which is quite a weak bird. Its package on 12,708 V has already
moved across, and the others are also expected to do so. The same
transponder has now switched frequency to 11,658 V, and is displaying a
TVE test card in PAL/clear.
