---------- Talent Channel no longer on Astra
The Talent Channel has, as expected, left Astra 1C, 10,979 V (Living
transponder). The Talent Channel started a few months ago, but never got
good enough ratings to get off the ground, probably due to the rather
inconvenient time slot; four o'clock in the morning is not the best time
for a public access TV channel. A new channel, Gay TV, is supposed to be
taking over this time slot soon, in order to better use the time slot.
---------- Sirius 2 reports
Just one subscriber report today, although I have today noticed a sharp
decrease in signal strength, and it's sunnier than ever before here in
Solihull!

Keep these reception reports coming in! Even those who have sent me
theirs can do so again - the signal strength keeps changing constantly.
The reports only reflect the day before they are sent out in the Sat-UK
reports. It's also very pleasing to see the amount of support for this
kind of request! When you do send a reception report, please be sure to
include location, dish size (cm/m) and LNB sensitivity (dB), if
possible.
---------- Intelsat 605 ready again for service
Intelsat 605 is now ready again to broadcast. The satellite was removed
from its orbital slot at 24.5° west not long ago due to telemetry
problems, but the trouble is now solved. It will replaced Intelsat 803
at 27.5° west tomorrow (14th) at approximately 23.00.
