SATCO DX Satellite Chart Update 960926 - Turksat 1C

Turksat 1C replaced Turksat 1B at 42.0E on 26 September.

Here is what the subscribers of the Daily Update mails got
tonight regarding the Turksat 1B/1C replacement. Since this
is an important replacement, you will get this story too.

The top story today is the change of satellites at 42.0E.
Around midnight, all channels on Turksat 1B closed down.
After a few hours, Turksat 1C signed on with a new channel
line up, and with new frequencies for all channels.

The European beam is reported to be weaker than 1B, but it
has several more channels now which only were on the Turkish
beam before.

ATV 2 and Euro Show are not available on 1C.
Instead of these, ATV and Show TV are shown.

Turksat 1B will now move to 31E and probably be used for
telphony and digital transmissions.

Here is the new TV channel line-up for Turksat 1C:
European beam:
10,965 V: ATV,      11,008 V: Cine 5 (enc. in Nagravision)
11,048 V: Show TV,  11,091 V: Samanyolu TV
11,142 V: Kanal 7,  11,185 V: Euro D
11,475 V: TRT 1,    11,500 V: TRT 2/TRT Gap
11,568 V: TRT 3,    11,600 V: TRT 4
Turkish beam:
11,126 H: Cine 5 (enc. in Nagravision), 11,556 H: TRT 1

Please note that the SatTracker info is not accurate for
Turksat 1C yet. It will probably be correct in the weekend.

  GE 1 has begun testing at 103W
  An Express satellite was scheduled to launch on 26 Sept.
