Asiasat-3 Launch Date Named
  HONG KONG, China, 96/10/25 (TS) -- Asia Satellite Telecommunications
Company has announced a launch date for its Asiasat-3 satellite. The company
said the new craft will be launched in November next year and replace the
company's first satellite launched six years ago, Asiasat-1 at 105.5 degrees
East.

  Asiasat is a consortium founded by China's China International Trust and
Investment Corporation, Britain's Cable and Wireless Plc and Hong Kong's
Hutchison Whampoa Ltd.
