VH-1 On Astra 1B
  BERLIN, Germany, 96/12/13 (TS) -- Viacom has announced its VH-1 Germany
will be carried on the Astra 1B satellite next year. The channel will be
available for only four hours between 2000 and 0000 CET which means it will
probably follow Nickelodeon Germany, which broadcasts on 11.612 GHz from
0600 until 2000.

  Putting VH-1 on Astra will draw viewers from across Europe, and not just
Germany, adding to the 7 million that already receive the program 24 hours
a day via cable in Germany.
