New Spanish TV Pact May Form Digital Venture
  MADRID, Spain, 96/12/28 (TS) -- A battle between Sogecable SA and Antena
3 de Television SA over broadcast rights to Spanish soccer has been ended
with the two sides deciding to work together in soccer and other areas,
including a possible digital TV venture. The pact has also been joined by
Televisio de Catalunya, which holds rights to games played by the two major
teams of Catalunya.

  The two had been battling of rights to Spanish soccer since early 1996
when Canal Plus Espana, Spain's only pay TV network, took Antena 3 to court
over the rights, Europe's most highly priced.
