Iran Planning International Broadcasting
  TOKYO, Japan, 96/12/26 (TS) -- Iran is planning to establish an
international broadcasting service, according to the Bulletin of the Center
for Arab and Iranian Studies. The new network will be started with help
from Sweden and Russia, said the newsletter, and would be established by
national broadcasters IRIB.

  The service will be available via satellite and will re-broadcast
domestic programming plus special programs suitable for traditions of
Islamic society. Sweden and Russia are said to be providing technical
assistance needed for the project.
