Echostar Reports Subscribers Increasing
  ENGLEWOOD, Colorado, USA, 97/08/12 (TS) -- Echostar Communications
Corporation says that the subscriber growth seen in the first half of this
year is expected to continue in the second half. The company said revenues
jumped 37-percent in the second quarter to $100.8-million, and 50-percent
overall in the first half to $172.8-million.

  As of June 30, the service had 590,000 subscribers, up 110,000
subscribers in the quarter.
