Nigeria To Launch International TV Service
  LAGOS, Nigeria, 1997/11/03 (TS) -- Nigeria is scheduled to launch an
international TV service today. The new network, African Independent
Television (AIT) International will be available in Africa, Europe, the
Carribean, the United States and Asia via Intelsat satellites, according to
reports.

  Initially, broadcasts will be in English only, although plans call for
expansion to French, Spanish, Portuguese, Swahili and Hausa.
