China Radio via satellite
Living in Pontianak, Indonesia I would like to receive China Radio
International via satellite to improve my knowledge of the language.
Shortwave would be a way, but this depends very much on weather conditions.
So satellite-recpetion would be the better way.
My satellite equipment: 6m dish with c/ku-band and two LT-receivers. Any
chance to get this station?

Dr.Dish:
Your equipment is just right to receive the ASIASAT on 105.5 degr, east.
This satellite transmitts CRI on 4.160 GHz in FDM. And here we got the
problem, because you will a audio-receiver with the frequency range between
0 and around 5 MHz. The antenna input must be connected to the Baseband
output of your satellite receiver which you tune to 4.160 GHz. Then you have
to search very carefully through the spectrum of the audio-receiver in
SSB-mode (single side band). Between all the other telecommunication you
should find CRI.
